Catrice Cosmetics Kabuki Brush [Review]

If you're a fan of Catrice Cosmetics like myself, you'll be delighted to hear that they have started to introduce brushes into their collection.

For example, this Kabuki brush was launched earlier this year and it is available from selected outlets around Malta.

As you might know, cheap [yet good] brushes are hard to come by, so I was really interested in testing this one out.

The packaging is really professional looking: it comes in its out plastic box [good for safeguarding the bristles] The handle is made out of plastic and it the Catrice logo is printed on it.

It is made out of synthetic bristles and it is super soft, [the bristles are quite dense, too] Really, it's a pleasure to apply your makeup with this brush.

You can use this to apply bronzer or powder. However, you would need a smaller brush if you want to contour.

I have been using this brush for more than a month now and I'm seriously loving it. I use it to apply my powder [it works really well with both pressed and loose powder, however do use a light hand when applying loose powder to avoid a caked up look].

Since it is so soft it does not 'disturb' your foundation and concealer.

I'm also happy to say that this does not shed [not even after having washed it a number of times]

Thumbs up!

P.s. What kind of brushes do you use?

Love,
Lola

Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer [Review]

I've been a fan of Korean concealers ever since I tried the TonyMoly Baby Doll concealer range [check out my reviews HERE and HERE], so when I came across a review for this Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer, [and it's promise to give full coverage] I decided to give it a go.

You can get yours from HERE or HERE

Like the majority of Korean products, this concealer only comes in 2 shades: Light Beige and Natural Beige. Mine is in Light Beige [but I wish I had gotten the other one]

To start from the beginning: this concealer claims to be waterproof [and sweatproof]. It also has Rose Hip oil in it.

First of all I have to say that you get a lot of product [25ml] - this is undoubtedly the biggest concealer I own.

Although it states that it is liquid - this has more of a creamy formula. You also need the tiniest, tiniest amount of product [half the size of a pea]. Better to layer this than to attempt to conceal everything all at once. Due to its thick property, this could easily end up looking cakey.

I find that this is also best applied using my fingers - the warmth of my skin seems to give a more even application rather than when applied with a brush.

For this reason, I think that this works best when it is set with powder. I find that due to its creamy nature, this does tend to settle in fine lines.

I applied waaaayyyy too much concealer here
Very lightly blended

The finish of this is rather dewy. It also needs some time to set properly.

I also think that one, thin application of this does not give 'proper' full coverage. However, this can be easily layered to achieve higher coverage.

Also, while I've never been swimming in this one so I can't really vouch for the waterproof claim, I can say that this is definitely sweat proof, especially when it is set with a good powder.

For those of you with dry skin, I think that it would be best if you properly moisturised before applying this product [even though it contains Rose Hip oil]

And for those of you who suffer from acne, pimples or scars [it does cancel out redness]. I honestly believe that you should try this Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer out.

Hope this helped!
